Higher Education Scholarships for
College & Universites Students

According to a new national report, the first-ever national study of private scholarship aid, students receive more than $3 billion per year in private scholarships that help them pay for the rising price of going to college, these scholarships stand apart from government and other aid because they help students who slip through the cracks of other programs and facilitate choice and affordability for a wide range of students.

  • USA Funds.org will award $1,500 scholarships to students with economic need through USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships. Applications will be accepted online beginning Dec. 15 through Feb. 16.

  • National Scholarship Providers Association The NSPA is the only national organization dedicated solely to supporting the needs of professionals administering scholarships in colleges and universities, non-profits and foundations. In 2008, NSPA members (112 reporting out of 237) awarded over 315,922 scholarships totaling more than $1,002,865,525! That's an average of $3,174 per award!

  • Gates Millennium Scholars
    A 20-year plan to provide financial assistance to high-achieving minority students who are in severe financial need and otherwise would be excluded from higher education.

  • Rhodes Trust
    The Rhodes Scholarships, the oldest international fellowships, were initiated after the death of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, and bring outstanding students from many countries around the world to the University of Oxford. The first American Scholars entered Oxford in 1904.

  • American Indian College Fund
    Raises money for the 30 tribal colleges located across the United States.

    Not-for-profit organization that conducts the National Merit and National Achievement scholarship programs for recognition and undergraduate scholarships.

  • Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
    Offers one-year undergraduate scholarships for the children of active duty, reserve, or former U.S. Marines.

  • Jacki Tuckfield Memorial Scholarship Fund
    Scholarships for African American residents of South Florida enrolled in graduate degree programs in Business Administration.
